Ballarat Aerodrome - Expressions of Interest

Expressions of interest are invited from members of the Ballarat community who are interested in being a community representative on the Ballarat Aerodrome Advisory Committee (BAAC).

The Advisory Committee will ensure the following objectives are met;
• Support the general operation of the existing Ballarat Aerodrome,
• Ensure that the operation of the aerodrome is supported by optimal consultation processes,
• Ensure the aerodrome operational procedures reflect an appropriate balance between commercial and community benefit outcomes,
• Will act as advocates for future aerodrome development proposals,
• Provide advice on appropriate forms of community engagement to support proposed developments.

The BAAC is seeking two community representatives, five representatives from the Aerodrome Business Precinct and two representatives from the Aerodrome Community Tenants.
Membership will be for be a period of three years and meetings are held every three months. Applicants should include in their application letter details of experience in airport operations, infrastructure and strategic planning and experience in advisory committees.
