Expressions of Interest: Disability Advisory Committee

Expressions of Interest are invited from members of the Ballarat community interested in filling a vacancy on the Disability Advisory Committee (DAC).

The purpose of the committee is to advise council of the local issues people with a disability face that relate to its services and infrastructure.

The committee will monitor, review and evaluate the ongoing implementation of the strategies in the City of Ballarat’s Disability Action Plan on a regular basis.

It will also act as a two-way opportunity for communication with staff at the City of Ballarat.

The DAC consists of a broad selection of community members and some service providers who have knowledge of disability in some way and who will advocate for people with a disability.

The committee meets every two months.

Expressions of interest close 5pm, Friday 2 August.
