Notice is hereby given that the City of Ballarat intends to adopt the Meeting Procedure Local Law in accordance with section 119 of the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act).
The City of Ballarat has commenced the process of developing the new Meeting Procedure Local Law to replace Local Law No. 18 Meeting Procedure Local Law.
The review has been undertaken by Council officers from all relevant departments and with assistance from expert legal counsel.
The City of Ballarat hereby gives notice under Section 189 of the Local Government Act 1989 (“the Act”) of its intention to sell the Occasional Childcare Centre located at 112 Armstrong Street North, Ballarat as indicated on the diagram here.
The responsible authority will not decide on the application before 22 October 2018.
In accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Act 1989 the City of Ballarat’s Annual Report for the 2017-18 financial year has been prepared and will be available for public inspection at the Town Hall, Sturt Street and The Phoenix, 25 Armstrong Street South, or online at ballarat.vic.gov.au from Thursday 4 October.
The Annual Report 2017-18 will be considered and discussed at the Council Meeting on Wednesday 24 October.

Expressions of interest are invited from members of the Ballarat community who are interested in being a community representative on the Ballarat Aerodrome Advisory Committee (BAAC).
The Advisory Committee will ensure the following objectives are met;
• Support the general operation of the existing Ballarat Aerodrome,
• Ensure that the operation of the aerodrome is supported by optimal consultation processes,
• Ensure the aerodrome operational procedures reflect an appropriate balance between commercial and community benefit outcomes,
