Notice of intention to grant a lease

The City of Ballarat hereby gives notice under Section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989 (“the Act”) of its intention to grant a lease at the Eureka Centre for the operation of a cafe (site indicated within the building on the map below).

Written submissions relating to the proposed leasing of this site will be considered in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act and must be received by the Property Department, City of Ballarat, PO Box 655, Ballarat, Vic. 3350, within 28 days of this notice.

Declaration of public holiday for Ballarat Show Day 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Minister for Small Business, the Hon Philip Dalidakis MP has declared Friday 9 November 2018 a full day public holiday for the municipality of the City of Ballarat in lieu of Melbourne Cup Day.

Notice of Special Council Meeting

Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Ballarat City Council will be held at the Council Chambers, Town Hall, Sturt Street, Ballarat, on Thursday 31 May 2018 commencing at 5.30pm.

The Special Meeting is called under section 84 of the Local Government Act 1989 for the purpose of Council to consider the CBD Car Parking Action Plan.

Members of the public are able to register to speak in accordance with Council’s Meeting Procedure Local Law 18.
To register to speak phone the Statutory Compliance Unit on 5320 5875 by no later than 3pm on 31 May 2018.

Robert Clark Conservatory closed for maintenance

Access into the Robert Clarke Conservatory will be closed to the public from Monday 21 May for maintenance works, and will re-open on Sunday 10 June.
