DECLARATION OF BOATING ACTIVITY EXEMPTION
City of Ballarat as the declared waterway manager for Lake Wendouree, makes the following declaration under section 203(3) of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic).

Road discontinuance
Ballarat City Council acting under section 206 and Schedule 10 Clause 3 of the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act), proposes to discontinue a road reserve and easement (road) situated between Sturt Street and Murray Street in Ballarat Central being parts of CA 2, 3 and 14 Township of Ballarat, and identified by hatching on the map below.
In accordance with section 223 of the Act, written submissions must be received by the Property Department within 28 days of this notice.
Feedback sought on draft domestic wastewater management plan
The City of Ballarat is seeking feedback on a new Domestic Wastewater Management Plan.
A new draft plan has been developed for the period 2019-2024 and City of Ballarat is seeking feedback from the community and other stakeholders.
You are invited to view the plan at the mysay website and provide your feedback.Alternatively, you can visit the City of Ballarat offices located at The Phoenix Building, 25 Armstrong St South to view a hard copy.
The draft plan will be available for submissions until Monday 15 April.

The responsible authority will not decide on the application before 9 March 2019.

Australia Day fireworks display road closure, Lake Wendouree water activity exclusion zone and alcohol-free zone
The City of Ballarat Fireworks Display will get underway at Lake Wendouree from 9.30pm on Saturday 26 January.
The City of Ballarat advises Windmill Drive will be closed to traffic and parking from 6am on Saturday 26 January.
There will be no further parking restrictions around the Lake Wendouree precinct, but drivers are urged to take care when leaving the area.
The Ballarat Botanical Gardens and Lake Wendouree foreshore will be an alcohol-free zone from 3pm on the same day.

Notice of boating activity exclusion zone
The City of Ballarat as the declared waterway manager for Lake Wendouree hereby gives notice under section 208(2) of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic), that all the waters of Lake Wendouree are prohibited to all persons and vessels not registered to take part in the Rowing Victoria Regatta Events, as detailed in Table 1 below.
The exclusion zone will be in effect for the dates, times and events detailed in Table 1.
